The League of Women Voter Wilmette 2017 Scholarship

Since 2013, the League of Women Voters Wilmette has awarded a scholarship to a graduating New Trier High School Senior. The intention of this scholarship is to increase visibility and good will for our league, honor former LWV Wilmette leaders and perhaps create a future membership opportunity for students.

This year's scholarship is awarded in honor of two longtime League members, Bobbi Friedman and Clarice Stetter.

This year we interviewed 4 accomplished, incredibly smart, creative students - each with his or her own distinctive talents that fit our scholarship criteria. Based on interviews, applications and college counselor recommendations the 2017 LWV Scholarship for a New Trier Senior has been awarded to Maya Rabinowitz. The award will be made at the New Trier on Senior Awards Ceremony,Thursday, June 1, 2017 - 7:00 p.m. Below please find her bio:

Maya Rabinowitz is a current senior at New Trier Township High School set to attend Georgetown University in the fall with a major in Biology.
