It's Time to Renew Your Membership!!
If you haven't already done so, it's time to renew your League membership. Renewing is easy - just fill out the Membership Form and mail in a check for $65. Your membership is vital to us - we could not exist without you.

We need your energy and enthusiasm. If you have a friend with whom you talk about current events, please encourage her to join the League.
And, while you are writing that $65 membership check, remember how little of the dues stay with our Wilmette League. After paying our fees to the National League, the State League and the County League, we are only left with $5. So if you are able, we welcome any additional donation. You can make a tax-deductible donation to our Educational Fund. Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor. You must write a separate check made out to the League of Women Voters Ed Fund. Thank you for your continued support of our Wilmette League. Thank you also to those who have already renewed their membership. Please complete your 2012-2013 Membership Form and send it, along with your check for $65 ($55 if renewing senior), to LWV Wilmette, PO Box 432, Wilmette, IL 60091.

What are the membership dues?
Dues for the 2012/2013 Fiscal Year
After January 1, 2010, dues are $35 and expire June 30, 2010, the end of our fiscal year.

Dues are not tax deductible. Contributions to the Educaton Fund are tax deductible.
Who are the members?
Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women of all ages.
Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders using their experience to create positive, lasting change in our communities.
Why should I join?
Through participation in League projects, you will:
- contribute valuable service to the community
- gain knowledge and experience through the study and discussion of timely and important topics
- discover new interests, develop new skills and learn about crucial issues in your community
- make professional contacts and develop lasting friendships as you meet others in League who share your interests
How much time does it take?
It's up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.
What do I get?
You automatically become a member of the Cook County Inter-League Organization, LWV Illinois and LWV of the United States. You will receive their publications along with the newsletter from the Wilmette League of Women Voters called Bulletin which is usually published 10 times each year . You will have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong.
